Everyone’s journey in pole is different and it’s an important reminder to not compare yourself to your class mates. Everyone has unique strengths and weaknesses and it’s a great opportunity for Pole Teachers to see this mélange in class and teach to their level. 

It can take a long time for someone to learn tricks even if they have a background in gymnastics, fitness, dance, etc. Someone’s body shape might make a move harder whereas it’s easier for another body shape. Other things to consider are muscle/joint strength and flexibility. 

Pole utilizes many different muscles that are not typically used in other sports. It’s important to start at the beginning to learn all the basics before jumping into advanced moves.
