Course Overview

If you already train pole dancers, you know the majority are women and people with uteruses, and chances are some of them have been or will become pregnant at some point in their life. When you’re a pole dancer, you LOVE pole and even pregnancy won’t stop you from pole dancing.

Birth is a normal and natural process that has been happening for as long as we can remember. Even though bodies have been designed to give birth, it still takes preparation, mental strength and stamina. You wouldn’t do a pole competition without training for it so why bring a baby earth side without any prep work? Some say giving birth is the most intense workout they have ever done.

As their Pole Teacher, we want to ensure that our pregnant students are safe and can still pole without discomfort. We offer them the best coaching to prepare them for birth or postpartum recovery for pole training. It’s our job to make their experience as painless as possible through one-on-one coaching or group sessions.

In this certification course, we provide you with all the tools you need to be a successful pre/postnatal Pole Teacher. With expert trainers with years of experience in the pregnancy, birth and postpartum field, we bring you the Pre/Postnatal Pole Specialist Certification.

Written Exam

Each section of the course contains a multiple choice quiz which must be completed at the end of that section. There is a final exam, also multiple choice, at the end of the course which covers the entire course material. The student must acquire a 100% grade to pass to become certified.

Each quiz and the final exam may be repeated as many times as needed to receive the passing grade of 100%. The exams are open book, however, the Pole Teacher must still know the material and study for the exam.

Case Study

To become certified, the Pole Teacher is required to complete a case study that must be submitted within 30 days of course completion.

A passing grade of 100% on the written exam and 80% on the case study is required to obtain the certification. After submitting your case study and passing, you will receive your results and a digital certificate within 60 days. If you do not pass, you may redo your written exam as many times as you need and resubmit your case study within 30 days.

Meet Your Trainers

Bringing years of expertise and knowledge working in the field of pregnancy, birth and postpartum to the pole industry.

Utilizing their qualifications, they created the Pre/Postnatal Pole Specialist Teacher Training Certification program to bring you the best methods to be able to teach your pregnant/postpartum clients safely and effectively.

Karolyne LaFortune

Karolyne, aka Kerosene, (she/her) is a boss mama and the owner of Iron X Fitness pole studio and Pole Teacher Training. She is also a performer, competitor and coach.

As a certified Pre/Postnatal Fitness Specialist (and more), she kept pole dancing throughout both pregnancies and learned to adapt through multiple body changes and postpartum recovery. She took this opportunity to educate herself through various trainings while working closely with a pelvic floor physio, midwives and a pre/postnatal kinesiologist. During her pregnancies, she went through an emotional roller coaster and felt extreme fatigue, pelvic girdle pain and Diastasis Recti. Having gone through these experiences herself, she applied it to her teachings.

She felt inspired to create this training because she wanted to ensure pole students would train safely during their pregnancies and their gradual return to pole with the help from their certified Pole Teacher.
